| COMRADERY! ADVOCACY! PRIDE! One of these words probably explains why your membership in the American Legion is important to YOU. But do you know how important YOUR membership is to the American Legion; especially to YOUR Department and Post? YOUR membership allows us to continue the many worthwhile programs of the American Legion, both locally and nationally. These programs include Scouting, Baseball, Boys State, and Girls State just to name a few. And while this is being done, the American Legion still remains vigilant and ready to defend the rights of veterans, and the Constitution of the United States. These are just a few examples of what YOU make possible with your membership support. YOU and every Legionnaire are an important part of The world's largest veterans organization, and together, we will remain strong and our record of service and accomplishment will go on.
